Over a decade spent underwater, photographing marine life across the world. My work is shaped by long hours in the ocean, close encounters with wildlife, and a deep respect for the places and species I photograph.
Beneath the Surface
Meet the Photographer
Hey, my name is Balázs! I’m an underwater wildlife photographer and ocean advocate originally from Hungary, now based in Austin, Texas. My work gravitates toward conservation, wildlife behavior, and the relationships between animals and their environments. I am especially drawn to pelagic animals and apex predators, while remaining deeply fascinated by the rich diversity of ocean life — from vibrant coral reefs to the quiet, intricate worlds of mangrove forests. I hope my images challenge assumptions, shift perceptions, and spark emotional connection through moments that feel immediate and true.
